Asahi Breweries headquarters building with… moon wallpaper Full HD

This is Asahi Breweries headquarters building with…, a warm moon wallpaper built around slate and near-black tones. The frame is composed for 4:3, which is why it reads well on tablet without pushing the subject out of shot.

Everything you can see is part of the original file: 1920 × 1536 pixels in JPG (596 KB). Nothing is upscaled, and the colours were sampled straight from the picture, so what you download is what you saw in the grid.

The palette leans towards slate and near-black, and that makes it easy to build an interface around it. A night-mode wallpaper works particularly well here, because the tones never fight with whatever you put in front of them.

Setting it up

To use it, download the file, open it on your device and choose the option to set it as the background. If your system crops the edges, use the 4:3 version from the collection or turn the zoom off so the full frame stays visible.

How to make the most of it

• For a dual-monitor setup, use this one on the screen you read from and a flatter image on the screen you only glance at.
• Print it on matte paper: the slate and near-black tones stay clean, while glossy paper exaggerates the highlights and washes the darks out.
• Pair it with a system accent colour that matches slate and near-black so the wallpaper and the interface read as one design instead of two.

What you get

You get a 1920 × 1536 JPG file (4:3, 596 KB). It is large enough for a tablet screen and for printing up to A4 (210 × 297 mm), and it is compressed for the web so that it still loads quickly on a mobile connection.
